Our story
Hello Wicked Readers,
It’s been a moment since we introduced ourselves. So, not to take too much of your time, let us begin!
First, Wicked Dual is composed of two people: Tiffany and Patricia, my partner in life and business. We both have a deep love for all things gothic, macabre, and high fantasy. Yet, we also come from distinct cultural backgrounds.
I am African American. I have a passion for reading. My library contains a lot of anthologies from various cultures. Currently, I’m going down a rabbit hole learning about Yoruba folklore, Mesopotamian myths, and Greek mythologies. I attended the Art Institute and have a Graphic Design background. Yet, I identify as a self-taught artist. Learning how to paint with my preferred mediums of watercolor, acrylic, and ink. My collection of inks is embarrassing btw. I am a spiritualist and see my walk in life leading me to becoming a folklorist. I want to write and paint as much of the World. At heart, I am a storyteller and aim to connect through my art and words.
My wife, Patricia, is of Cherokee and Irish ancestry. She has a passion for digital art and photography. She graduated from Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee with a degree in education. At OSU she was introduced to black and white photography by one of her college professors. Ansel Adams became one of her favorite photographers. A lover of storytelling as well, she weaves her unique story of a woman born of two cultures. The light and the dark of it. The stories of some that still reside in the shadows. She hopes to show the beauty that resides in this world. Great and Small. She also wants to show the other side of life. The shadows are not so black and white, but a gradient of Grays.
Together, we make a great team, but our individuality makes us strong. Although we were raised in different worlds, we have blended into one beautiful one. Thank you so much for spending time getting to know us, liking our pages, commenting, and buying our art. It has made all the difference, making this rainbow family immensely happy.
